Okay, I'm British and I'm proud of it, so the spuffy fanfiction contained on my site isn't rated using the American standards, it's rated according to BBFC standards, outlined and explained below.

Rating 12 [American: PG]I've chosen to rate fics from 12 upwards, as I don't think this site or fanfiction is suitable for those below that age. Stories with a 12 rating are unsuitable for those under the age of 12, they contain infrequent bad language, horror, drugs, abuse, violence. Sex and violence should only be implied, nudity is not allowed in a sexual context. |

Rating 15 [American: PG13]Stories rated 15 are only suitable for those over that age. They contain frequent bad language, nudity is allowed in a sexual context but will not contain strong detail and sexual activity will not contain strong detail. Violence will be strong, but infrequent. Horror is permitted but not overly gory. Drugs, weapons, etc will not be glamourised. |

Rating 18 [American: R]Stories rated 18 are only suitable for those over that age. These stories will contain strong violence, language, nudity and non-explicit sex. They may contain horror, drugs, death and abuse. They are not suitable for younger readers, hence the 18 rating. PLEASE NOTE: If you are under 18, please DO NOT READ stories/chapters rated as 18, by choosing to do so you release me of any responsibility as they are clearly labelled. |

Rating R18 [American: NC17]Stories rated R18 are restricted 18's, and are unsuitable for readers under the age of 18. They have this rating due to strong sex scenes that are detailed. They may also be abusive and unconsensual. Some stories rated as R18 also contain strong violence and gore, things I don't think should be read without a warning first. PLEASE NOTE: If you are under 18, please DO NOT READ stories/chapters rated as R18, by choosing to do so you release me of any responsibility as they are clearly labelled. |
